Terms of service

Monkey Vine Rush

Last updated 28 October 2026

The short version

  • Monkey Vine Rush is free to play. Everything in it can be earned by playing; buying coins is always optional.
  • Coins and items are for use in the game only. They have no cash value and can't be sold or swapped.
  • Please play fair: no cheating, hacking or copying the game.
  • Your rights as a consumer under UK law are never reduced by these terms.

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you play Monkey Vine Rush (the "game") on any device, and when you use this website, monkeyvinerush.com (the "website"). The game is made by Jason Grimmitt, trading as Grimmitt Games, in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). You can contact us at support@monkeyvinerush.com.

By downloading, installing or playing the game you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the game. If you got the game from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement also applies, and if anything in these terms conflicts with it, Apple's agreement wins. How we handle information is explained in our privacy policy.

2. Your licence to play

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to download and play the game on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. The game is licensed to you, not sold: we (and our licensors) keep all rights in it that aren't expressly given to you here.

3. Children and families

The game is suitable for all ages. If you're under 18, or the age of adulthood where you live, please make sure a parent or guardian has agreed to these terms for you. Before any purchase, the game asks a grown-up question, and your app store will ask for its own password or approval as well. Parents can also turn purchases off in their device's settings (on iPhone and iPad: Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions).

4. Coins, items and purchases

The game has an in-game currency (coins) and items such as monkeys, outfits, hats, trails, power-ups and worlds. You earn coins by playing, and you can optionally buy coin packs as in-app purchases through the App Store (or Google Play, where available).

5. Optional reward videos

In the app store versions, you can choose to watch a short, family-friendly video advert in return for a reward, such as coins or a power-up. Watching is always optional, and the reward is given once the video has finished. Limits on how many rewards you can earn each day may apply.

6. Leaderboards and achievements

If you're signed in to Game Center (or Google Play Games), your scores and achievements can be posted to their leaderboards. Those services are run by Apple and Google under their own terms, which apply to your use of them.

7. Your progress

Your progress is saved on your device and, where available, in your own iCloud storage. We don't run game servers or accounts, so we can't see, restore or move your progress. Deleting the game or its data, resetting your device, or turning off iCloud can mean progress and coins are lost, and we can't recover them. Where a purchase was lost because of a fault in the game, contact us and we'll help.

8. Playing fair

Please don't:

9. Our content

The game and the website, including all characters, monkeys, worlds, artwork, music, sounds, text, code and the names and logos "Monkey Vine Rush" and "Grimmitt Games", belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may share screenshots and videos of your own play for non-commercial purposes, as long as you don't suggest they're endorsed by us. Apple, App Store, Game Center, Google and Google Play are trademarks of their owners.

10. Updates and changes to the game

We may update the game to fix problems, improve it or change its content, and some updates may be needed to keep playing. We'll keep the game working as described and won't make changes that take away something you've paid for without a fair reason, such as a legal or security requirement. We may stop offering or supporting the game in future; if we do, we'll give as much notice as we reasonably can, and you'll keep your legal rights for anything you've bought.

11. The website

The website is here to tell you about the game and to help you. We try to keep it accurate and available, but it may change or be unavailable from time to time. Links to other websites, such as the App Store, are provided for convenience, and we're not responsible for their content.

12. Our responsibility to you

If we don't follow these terms, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that. We're not responsible for loss or damage that isn't foreseeable. The game is for personal use, so we have no responsibility to you for any loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption.

If the game (which is digital content) damages a device or other digital content belonging to you because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we'll either repair the damage or pay you fair compensation. We're not responsible for damage you could have avoided by following our advice to install a free update, or by meeting the minimum system requirements shown in the app store.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can't be limited or excluded under the law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. You can get advice about your rights from Citizens Advice.

13. Ending these terms

You can stop playing at any time by deleting the game. If you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, for example by cheating or copying the game, we may end your licence to use the game.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add features or when the law changes. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and if a change is important we'll say so in the game or on this website. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the new terms.

15. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you have a problem, please contact us first so we can try to sort it out. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can bring legal proceedings in your local courts; otherwise the courts of England and Wales will deal with any dispute. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protections given to you by the consumer laws of the country where you live.
