Who we are

Monkey Vine Rush is a game made by Jason Grimmitt, trading as Grimmitt Games, in the United Kingdom. Jason is responsible for any personal information described in this policy (the "data controller"). You can reach him at support@monkeyvinerush.com. This policy explains what information the game uses and why.

What the game stores

What the game does not collect

The game does not ask for or collect your name, email address, contacts, location, photos, microphone or camera, and it does not use advertising IDs. There are no adverts, no third-party analytics or tracking, no chat and no social features. We do not sell or share your information.

When you email us

If you email us, for example to ask for help or to send a problem report from the game, we receive your email address, your name if your email shows it, and whatever you write or attach. A problem report lists your device type, the game's version and settings, where you were in the game and any errors it noticed. It contains nothing else about you.

We use your email only to reply to you and to fix problems in the game. Emails reach us through an email forwarding service (ImprovMX) and are kept in our email account (Gmail, run by Google). We keep support emails for up to two years and then delete them, and we'll delete them sooner if you ask.

Purchases

Buying coins is never required. Everything in the game can be unlocked with coins earned by playing. Buying coins is optional and simply gives you a faster way to unlock worlds, monkeys and items.

Coin packs are in-app purchases made through the App Store or Google Play. Payments are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms and privacy policies. The game only receives confirmation that a purchase went through, never your card or payment details.

Coins can only be used in the game. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies.

You can turn off or limit in-app purchases in your device's settings, for example with a password or parental controls.

Leaderboards and sharing

In the app store versions, if you are signed in to Game Center or Google Play Games, your best Rush distances and your star total can be posted to their leaderboards. Those services show your player name there under their own privacy policies.

The Share button makes a picture of your result and opens your device's share options. Nothing is shared unless you choose to share it.

Before coins can be bought, or anything is shared outside the game, a grown-up has to answer a quick question.

Why we can use it

Under UK and EU data protection law, we save your game progress and answer your emails because we have a legitimate interest in running the game and helping players, and we handle coin purchases to carry out our agreement with you (Apple or Google process the payment). We never use your information for advertising or profiling, and we make no automated decisions about you.

Fonts

The game's fonts are built into the game, so it does not contact any font service or other third party when it loads.

Children

The game is suitable for all ages and is designed to protect children's privacy by default: there are no accounts, adverts, chat or tracking, and it collects no personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or under the age set by the law where they live. If a child emails us, we use the message only to reply, and we encourage children to ask a parent or guardian before contacting us. If you're a parent or guardian and think your child has sent us personal information, email us and we'll delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of any personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it or stop using it. Email us and we'll reply within one month. A parent or guardian can make these requests for their child. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority where you live.

Your choices

You can delete all progress saved on your device at any time with Reset progress in Settings. To have an online copy of your progress removed, email us at the address below.

Keeping it safe and where it's stored

Your progress stays on your device and in your own iCloud or Google Play Games account, protected by Apple's or Google's security. Our email account is protected with two-step verification. The services we use, such as Google and ImprovMX, may store emails outside the UK, including in the United States, with the safeguards the law requires. We keep as little information as possible, for as short a time as possible.

Our website

monkeyvinerush.com uses no cookies, analytics or adverts. See our cookie policy.

Translations

The game's text in languages other than English was translated with the help of AI. Translations may contain mistakes or read differently from the English, and if there is any difference, the English version applies. We are not responsible for errors in translated text.

Names and trademarks

All names, characters, monkeys, outfits, hats, items, worlds and other content in the game, including everything in the shop, are original creations made for Monkey Vine Rush. Any resemblance to real people, brands, products, trademarks or copyrighted characters is coincidental and not intended. The game is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any trademark or copyright owner. Apple and Google are named only to explain how app store payments work, and their names belong to their owners.
